Overview

In this workshop, we will continue our exploration of dreams and fairytales focusing on animals. Animals are one of the most common themes in myths and fairytales. Animals being more in contact with nature itself, can orient us to a deeper layer of our instinctual selves. Our animal images and stories can invite or challenge us to change, to consider what qualities we might need more of or need to relinquish.

Dream animals can reveal and illuminate deeper layers of our relationship to nature. They can evoke empathy and bring awareness to shared environmental realities. As allies, animal figures carry a psychic charge—an instinctual truth which can carry knowledge and insight. As teaching stories, myths and fairytales threaded together by metaphor, symbol and image embrace themes of loss, regression, initiation, transformation and transcendence.

Please join us on Sunday 4th March for an interactive workshop program of dreams, story, sandplay, clay and soul collage process.
